About

About Alea Advisory

Alea Advisory is an independent economics and public policy practice working at the intersection of climate risk, resilience and natural systems. We support organisations to make sound decisions where uncertainty, long timeframes and complex systems shape outcomes.

Alea means chance or uncertainty. Like casting a die, once cast, the outcome unfolds. Even with good analysis and data, uncertainty remains. Good advice does not eliminate risk; it helps people make sound, informed choices and understand the consequences that follow.

Acknowledgement
of Country

Alea Advisory acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work in Naarm. We pay our respect to Elders past and present and recognise their enduring connection to Country, culture and community.

We acknowledge that this land was never ceded. We honour the knowledge, care and stewardship that First Nations peoples have practised for tens of thousands of years, and the continuing role of cultural knowledge in caring for land, waters and ecosystems.

As a company working on decisions that shape environmental, economic and social outcomes, we recognise the responsibility to listen, to learn and to support approaches that respect Country, strengthen self-determination and contribute to a more just and resilient future.
